I am a 29 female going to college, does anyone know of any grants or scholarships that I would qualify for? |

| I have been looking on line a bit and the ones I have found are for new students just out of high school, or freshmans. I am a sophomore and am tired of having to work work work, I just want to be able to work part time and finish school quickly, (but doesn't everyone!). Any honest and sincere help will be most appreciative.

| If you are going into a science or engineering, there's plenty of stuff out there for women, especially non-traditional students. Other disciplines have scholarships, too. There's a big push to get more women into computer science.
Look here first: http://scholarships.fatomei.com/women.html then here: http://www.fastweb.com/fastweb/resources/articles/index/103789 http://womeningovernment.org/highered/documents/ScholarshipsforNon-TraditionalStudents_7.06.pdf http://www1.talbots.com/about/scholar/scholar.asp --ALSO talk to your financial aid counselors (most want to help) and go to your school's library or a public library and ask to see the grant books. There is lots of money out there, but you need to really do the research. Summer's here-- perfect time to do it. GOOD LUCK!!! |

| there are many for returning students and it also depends on your major. best bet would be to check with financial aid and ask a counselor or adviser. they do know things.
returning students would be anyone coming back to school at age 25 or older. dont know if you have been away from school or not, if so, also check with a reentry counselor. |
