Since tax season is approaching, what do-it-yourself tax preparation software would you recommend and why?
I know of TurboTax, but are there others? What are the pros and cons of each?

I have used Tax Cut by H & R Block for the last 5 years, never had trouble and every year it uploads my w-2 from the payroll provider and banks, so it is really easy and trouble free. It costs like $24 and then e file is another cost if you do it that way

irs.gov is the best place to do your federal taxes online for free. I've been using this service for the last 5 years and have had no problems.
