| It is legitimate. I've used it for my own personal return last year and this year. They will let you prepare and e-file your federal for free, however, they will charge you for your state. |

| Hi!
It's legit. It's ran by H & R Block. The way to file for free (if you qualify) is to go to the IRS site first..and follow the link from there. I have used them Not only this year..but the year before as well. |

| It works well and is very legit. You can download the software and print the form and mail if you prefer all free of charge. They make money off e-filing and selling various additonal services. I've used it the last 3 years with no problems. Also TaxAct is NOT associated with HR block the other user is thinking of Taxcut. |

| I've heard it's good. I know it HAS to be better than H&R Block.
Block is EXPENSIVE and, in my opinion, totally incompetent. They hire people that flunk the final. They have important areas in their class that are "beyond the scope of this course" - it says that in the textbook. When I had to take the class, I often knew more than the teacher and we had to correct him on numerous occasions. I have also heard horror stories from FORMER clients. |
